

Luckily I have all of the screen shots, ie Armchair is on its way, emails from customer service confirming the cost is £71 for the chair and footstool. Then on my account they changed the purchase that I made from an Armchair to a footstool. I took screen shots of the dates and only after I had contacted them several times over as many weeks did they change the add to the sale of the footstool. On top of it, they continued to run the same add offering the armchair at £71. As the armchair was £300 last year, I feel they should offer me a product at that price, after all I’m now without two armchairs at no fault of my own and this whole matter has caused me untold stress and upset. They offered me 20% discount off another armchair. They told me that they were not liable for any mistakes so basically I’m out of pocket, two armchairs I’d given away and I’m extremely upset. Wouldn’t you think that they would have sorted the add out in 8 months. They informed me that there was a mistake in the add and the armchair was £300 in last years stock and now discontinued. Surprise surprise! No armchair or word from Kaleidoscope, I then contacted them. I had the room decorated in shades to match the armchair, as I had family visiting, I was eager to get the room finished. I was looking forward to this great bargain. I then gave away two armchairs to make room for the new chair and footstool. They assured me that I would receive the armchair. I contacted Kaleidoscope customer services to query this, they informed me in writing that the price of £71 was the sale price for the Armchair and matching footstool. I was surprised when I received a matching stool and no sign of the armchair. I placed the order and I then received an email saying the ‘ Armchair ‘ is on its way. I didn’t have any credit on my account so I paid in the £70 to cover the cost. There was no mention in the add of any other matching product or any drop down screen offering another product. They consisted of the type of fabric, the colour the dimensions of the chair and even photos and details of the legs. I was interested in an add ‘Paloma Armchair’ on sale, reduced to £71. I’ve had a kaleidoscope Acc for many years. I purchase everything online as I like the convenience of buying online. I will not be ordering anything else from Kaleidoscope, and as soon as this money has been refunded I will probably close my account as I did not really want to open it anyway, but it appeared to be the only option available to order this duvet set. This money has been out of the account for several days now, and I am wondering how many other people are experiencing this problem.

I received a FURTHER email next day to say the order had been shipped and would arrive on Friday 10th September On that day I received another email saying the order had been cancelled and the money would be refunded to my account within 3-5 working days, I notice this particular item is still being advertised as available, as I keep getting prompts to order it on a regular basis. Two days later, I received further confirmation of the order, but then another email saying the item was out of stock (due to high demand) the order had been cancelled, and the money would be refunded to my account. I ordered a duvet set last week, and received a confirmation of order, and the money was taken from my account the next day.

I'm afraid I am very disappointed with my first experience of placing an order with this company.
